V ETHIOPIAN RESTAURANT AND HOOKAH LOUNGE
About This Spot
Stepping into V Ethiopian Restaurant and Hookah Lounge feels like discovering a hidden gem tucked just off the pulse of Las Vegas. The space carries a relaxed, inviting energy—somewhere between a thoughtful neighborhood spot and a lively evening retreat. As daylight wanes, the atmosphere gently shifts from a cozy haven for flavorful meals to a gathering place where conversation, music, and the soft swirling of hookah smoke blend effortlessly.
There’s a certain warmth here that goes beyond the décor or the aromas rising from the kitchen. It’s something in the way the team moves with easy confidence, greeting guests like old friends and introducing them to a culinary tradition that’s both rich and comforting. It’s the kind of place where sharing a meal feels like a conversation, each bite thoughtfully paired with the airy texture of injera, inviting lingering and connection rather than rush.
As evening settles in, the subtle rhythm of the lounge unfolds. Low-key beats and the gentle gathering of people, each arriving with their own group, form the backdrop to a casual yet deceptively vibrant scene. Hookah pipes are set down by the bar, drinks are poured slowly, and the space embraces the unhurried ebb of a night spent unwinding. Despite a buzzing undercurrent, it maintains a relaxed character, where the neighborhood charm—the unmistakable mark of a well-loved local spot—blends into its slightly underground, mom-and-pop feel.
Whether you come for the authentic taste of East Africa or to share a quiet moment in the hookah lounge, the experience is touched by genuine hospitality. It’s a place where flavors and scents spark curiosity, where familiar faces greet newcomers like family, and where the pace encourages you not just to eat or drink, but to simply be.

I love Ethiopian food. They also have a bar, hookah lounge all in one plaza. Same owner. By the way the owner is laid-back very friendly. I have tried also the hookahs. No complain. Not far from China town

It's a scene here late at night for bar, DJ, hookah time? Local vegas vibes, meaning everyone comes here with their own posse. Tables is the way to go, and order drinks and your hookah at the bar. Very casually run, mom and pop style? After midnight, maybe closer to 130am or 2am is when the place gets crowded. I visited only once in 9/2024 and thought it was an underground type of venue with no sign, or such? Someone mentioned it's difficult to be a DJ here. The DJ needs to play a bit of everything, because there's like 16 different countries worth of people just there at night. The music jumps around so much, it's difficult to get into it. Everyone is just waiting for their genre, dance and then sit back down. Music is loud. No EDM, thank goodness. I've only been once and everyone was welcoming. Attire is casual to dressed loungey. I've only been once, and I was the only non- Black, African descent, Islander/Caribbean looking person there. Everyone was nice and didn't stare in a certain way like how I was stared at in Arizona or even parts of Vegas (....like Stoneys Rockin Country).

I came to Vegas for vacation and staying on the strip. I was looking for a hookah venue and stumbled upon this place in my search. As a first timer, I’d have to say the customer service was outstanding and food was delicious. I got here around 4pm and didn’t know the hookah spot doesn’t open until 9pm. Only the restaurant was opened. However the staff and owner were so kind and accommodated me wanting both food and hookah. Additionally the restaurant opened two weeks ago so I feel great I had the experience of both. Highly recommended and the Hookah menu is amazing. So many flavors and ones I’ve never knew about it. I’m high impressed and I will be back again soon! Thank you all for the exceptional customer experience.

We had an incredible experience at this Ethiopian restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing—flavorful, authentic, and beautifully presented. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and the injera was perfectly spongy and fresh. Our waiter Micky was also fantastic—very knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the cuisine. You could tell he took pride in the food and service, which made the meal even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
